Terms of Service

The terms covering our website builds, monthly managed development plans and ad-hoc changes — plainly written, so you know exactly what you're buying.

Last updated: 10 August 2026

1.About these terms

These terms apply when you buy a website build, a monthly managed development plan or ad-hoc development work from IGotThe.com ("we", "us", "our"), and when you use this website. By placing an order you agree to them.

Where we've signed a separate written proposal or agreement with you, that document takes precedence over these terms to the extent of any conflict.

2.Our services

  • Essential (£350). A focused marketing site — landing page, core content pages and a contact form.
  • Signature (£2,000). A full bespoke multi-page website built to your requirements.
  • Bespoke (POA). Complex builds including custom backends, integrations and AI features, scoped and quoted individually.
  • Managed Core (£299/month). Priority handling of urgent technical fixes, 10 minor changes and one major change per month, with support during 8:30am – 5:30pm UK time.
  • Managed Total (£750/month). Unlimited minor and major changes with around-the-clock support.
  • Ad-hoc development. £50 per minor change for clients without a monthly plan; major or complex changes are quoted in advance.

What counts as a "minor" or "major" change is agreed in good faith, based on the scope and effort involved. We'll tell you before starting if we think a request falls into a different category than you expected.

3.Timelines and express builds

Essential builds typically take 2 days to 1 week. Signature builds typically take 1 to 2 weeks. Bespoke builds are scheduled as part of the quote.

At checkout you can add an express build: an Essential site delivered in 24 hours for an extra £99, or a Signature site delivered in 72 hours for an extra £499. Express timings run from the point we have everything we need from you — content, assets, approvals and any access we've asked for.

Timelines are targets, not guarantees, and they pause while we're waiting on you. If we can't meet an express timeline for a reason within our control, we'll refund the express fee.

4.Fees and payment

  • All prices are in GBP. Fixed-price builds are payable in full up front.
  • Monthly plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Ad-hoc changes are invoiced per change, either up front or on completion.
  • Bespoke work follows the payment schedule set out in its quote, which usually includes a deposit.
  • Third-party costs — domains, licences, paid APIs, stock assets — are yours unless the quote says otherwise.
  • Payments are processed by our payment provider; we don't store card details.

If an invoice goes unpaid we may pause work and support until it's settled. Anything you were quoted holds for 30 days unless we say otherwise.

5.Refunds and cancellation

One-off builds. You can cancel and get a full refund within 24 hours of ordering, unless work has already commenced. Once work has started, or after 24 hours, the fee is non-refundable — though we'll always talk to you about a fair outcome if something has gone wrong on our side.

Monthly plans. Cancel at any time by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the current period is not refunded, and you keep your support and change allowance until it ends. There's no minimum term and no exit fee.

Ad-hoc changes. Refundable in full if you cancel before we start work on the change.

We may cancel an order and refund you in full if we can't deliver what was requested, or if the work falls outside what we do.

6.Your responsibilities

To deliver on time we need you to:

  • provide content, images, brand assets and feedback promptly;
  • give us the access we need — domain, hosting, analytics or any third-party accounts;
  • confirm you own or are licensed to use everything you send us, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights or break the law; and
  • nominate a single point of contact who can approve work.

Delays in any of the above shift the timeline accordingly. You're responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you ask us to publish, and you indemnify us against claims arising from it.

7.Support and response targets

On a managed plan, our targets are minor changes fixed within 3 hours and major or complex changes within 48 hours, during your plan's support hours. Core covers 8:30am – 5:30pm UK time on working days; Total covers around-the-clock support.

These are service targets we work hard to hit, not contractual guarantees, and they don't apply to outages or faults caused by third-party platforms, your own hosting, or changes made by anyone other than us.

Unused change allowances on the Core plan don't roll over into the following month.

8.Ownership and intellectual property

On receipt of full payment, ownership of the final deliverables produced specifically for you — page designs, custom code and content we wrote for your site — transfers to you.

We keep ownership of our underlying tools, frameworks, components, libraries and know-how, including anything reusable we developed before or during your project. You get a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use those elements as part of your site.

Third-party components — open source libraries, fonts, plugins, stock imagery — remain under their own licences.

We may reference your project and show screenshots in our portfolio and marketing. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't, and we won't.

9.Hosting and deployment

Clients whose sites we build end to end can host with us on an ongoing basis, or we can deploy to hosting you control. Where we host, hosting continues while your plan or hosting fee is current; if it lapses we'll give you reasonable notice and an export of your site before taking it down.

Where we deploy to your own hosting, its performance, uptime and security are outside our control. Third-party services used in your site are subject to their own terms and pricing.

10.Acceptable use

You may not ask us to build or host anything unlawful, fraudulent, malicious, infringing, or designed to harass or deceive others. We may refuse or stop work — and terminate hosting — where content breaches this, without refund of work already delivered.

11.Warranties and liability

We'll perform our services with reasonable care and skill. We'll fix defects in our own work reported within 30 days of delivery at no charge. Beyond that, everything is provided "as is": we don't warrant that a site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or achieve any particular ranking, traffic or revenue.

We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability in connection with our services is capped at the fees you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't lawfully be limited.

12.Termination

Either of us can end an ongoing engagement with reasonable notice, as set out under refunds and cancellation. We may suspend or terminate immediately for non-payment or a serious breach of these terms. On termination you keep everything you've paid for, and we'll hand over final deliverables where your account is settled.

13.General and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force when you order is the one that applies to that order. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
